Gao Anming elected chair of the APTIF Joint Committee

On the eve of the opening of the 9th Asia-Pacific Translation and Interpreting Forum (APTIF), the election of members of the Executive Board and chair of the APTIF Joint Committee was held. Gao Anming (Translators Association of China), Zhang Meifang (Federation of Translators and Interpreters of Macau), Kwak Joong Chol (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies), Indra Listyo (Indonesian Association of Translators) and Abdullah Hassan (Malaysian Translators Association) were elected members of the Executive Board of the APTIF Joint Committee; Gao Anming was unanimously elected chair of the APTIF Joint Committee.

The APTIF Joint Committee approved Myanmar Translation Network's application to join the Joint Committee as a formal member and Beijing Foreign Studies University's application to host the 10th Asia-Pacific Translation Interpreting Forum to be held in 2022.

At present, the APTIF Joint Committee has 11 members and 2 observers.
